So crowded it is nearly impossible to find the machine you want without waiting 10+ minutes. Campus needs more gyms desperately. Parking is abysmal and there is only like 6 inches between each machine making it an awful experience. Not open early enough for me to go before it gets crowded and closes too early to beat the traffic that way. I would give it 0 stars but that’s not an option.

3 life guards sitting under tent doing nothing and they still won’t let us jump off of the diving boards. Even asked them to let us and they said they didn’t have any life guards. Cmon now

The equipment is nice and the staff is usually friendly, but the culture of this gym is not great. Instructors for classes are not mindful of other gym users, leading to a "fend for yourself" vibe in the weight room where you can either wait 30+ minutes for enough space/equipment access to get anything done, or try to lift while people are jostling dangerously close to you. Space is at a premium anywhere on campus, but the parking lot at this gym is likely one of the worst. Students and staff alike constantly cut people off and drive the wrong way down one-way stretches trying to steal parking spaces. Early in the morning, the ROTC is particularly bad about this. If you're just looking for a treadmill and you don't have to worry about parking, this will be a great experience for you. Otherwise, expect consistent, mild frustration.

I've been coming in since the summer and this facility is subpar. The equipment is great, the organization is okay, but the staff is poor. Over the summer the staff was on their phones the entire time. Now at the start of fall semester they are better about that, but they sit and talk and leave the facilities absently attended. On 4 occasions in the last 3 weeks I've had to inform the staff that multiple wipe dispensers are empty. Also, almost every morning at 0600 the weights are disorganized. They are clean from the floor, but they are unevenly dispersed. If that's not part of the closing/opening routines that would explain it but it doesn't seem logical to see weights poorly organized as soon as the facility opens. There was also the day that laundry was not done so there were no towels to disperse among the members. Today the facility is out of replacement wipes to fill in the stations.

Great range of exercise equipment including free weights, cardio machines, machine weights, benches, olympic platforms, jogging track etc. Also solid variety of free classes for students to take. There is always pickup basketball games in the gym too. I'm sure the rebuild of the outdoor pool will be awesome as well. I have to ding some points for how bafflingly over crowded this place can get. If you plan to try to workout on a weekday anytime from 8am -close, forget about it. There will be cardio equipment and maybe some free weights, but I have had to wait 45 minutes for an olympic platform, just as long for a bench and maybe 20 minutes for machines before. This issue was remedied by going at opening at 6am though. Would highly recommend going early for anyone who has a workout plan they want to follow and complete in a timely manner. Also the staff are nothing but a pain. Administration lifeguards and the outdoor center staff are fine, but the students who work inside are constantly on power trips complaining about the slightest things you may do while working out, refusing to help claiming it isn't their job, sitting around doing nothing etc. They are very strict about dress
